Details:: Adam Roberts and Carlie Hinson (campus life) will present about the past year’s cultural exchanges via spring break service trip, and this year’s planned trip to work with the people of Choctaw, Mississippi on the land of their federal reservation. Students will learn about the history of the Choctaw people in Mississippi, the ways that they have experienced oppression and been shaped by it, and how their native culture has been changed by Christian worship practice, and what specific Christian expressions are unique to this people group. Additionally, Spring Break 2020 will include a visit to the memorial site where three civil rights workers were murdered in Philadelphia, MS in 1964.
