B.A. in Music

This program of study provides the student with a broad, liberal arts based music education. Students pursuing this degree are encouraged to choose a complementary minor area of study. The student must adhere to all entrance/exit requirements common to all Music majors.

In addition to the general education requirements, students complete the following Music courses:

FILM 3001 - Audio Techniques in Film, Video, and TV
MUSI 1103 - Piano I 
MUSI 1112 - Music Survey or MUSI 1110 - American Music
MUSI 1501 - Music Theory I
MUSI 1502 - Music Theory II
MUSI 1503 - Piano II
MUSI 2113 - Ear Training I
MUSI 2501 - Music Production & Audio Engineering I
MUSI 2502 - Music Production & Audio Engineering II
MUSI 3107G/3108G - LC Performance Ensemble (4 semesters)
MUSI 3501 - Ear Training II
MUSI 4488 - Capstone Presentation

In addition, majors will take 16 hours of electives from MUSI classes.
