Grievances and complaints procedures
LaGrange College encourages students to address complaints relating to college policies with personnel within the office or department that the complaint originated. Senior administration will be involved, as needed, to resolve the complaint at the institutional level. LaGrange College's Student Grievance Procedures are available in the Student Handbook found here.

Complaints that are not successfully resolved by following the above grievance procedures can be forwarded to our accrediting agency, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). Guidelines and procedures on filing a complaint with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges are available here or the State of Georgia Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission.

The Lewis Library, a 2009 addition to the campus, is a LEED Silver certified facility with impressive physical and electronic resources. Information and help are available on the library website.

State Authorization
The State Higher Education Executive Officers Association (SHEEO) acknowledges the following:
"In the fall of 2010, the U.S. Department of Education announced PROGRAM INTEGRITY RULES, requiring all institutions of higher education participating in Title IV programs to be able to document compliance with state laws in all states where they offer distance or correspondence education."

Since the staff and faculty of LaGrange College have the goal of encouraging moral courage in their students, it seems only reasonable that the college be held to the same standard. Consequently, we seek to honor the authority of states.

LaGrange College has been approved for the offering of online courses in the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia. LaGrange College engages in the Southern Regional Education Board's Electronic Campus and thus enjoys authorization to offer online courses in the aforementioned states.

Any state not listed has authorization policies that are actively being investigated. LaGrange College has intent to file in these states.
