Sharpen your competitive edge

The business side of sports offers a range of careers you may not know exist. And, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the field is growing faster than the average for other occupations.

In LaGrange’s Sports Management program you’ll learn to apply business principles to the sports industry, with an emphasis on team development and administration and financial management, as well as leadership and ethics in sports. You’ll develop the skills teams are looking for in their “behind the scenes” players.

Combine this field with another LaGrange major or minor and you can double, or even triple, your sports career options.

'Super' exposure

Sports Management students at LaGrange have taken part in major sporting events—including the Super Bowl (see the video on this page). The exposure has led to high-profile internships, and LaGrange students have landed positions with national sports organizations. LaGrange grad Katie Hearn was recently honored by the Atlanta Braves with the team’s Walter Banks Award, honoring her work in the Braves digital marketing department.

Accreditation

The college’s undergraduate programs in business and accountancy are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
