Choose Your Path

The Exercise Science program offers three concentrations, so you can build a degree that fits where you're headed.

Allied Health For students planning graduate study in physical therapy, occupational therapy, physician assistant studies, or chiropractic medicine. This track builds the foundational science and clinical knowledge that top graduate programs look for.

Sport & Human Performance For students pursuing careers in athletic coaching, fitness management, or sport performance consulting. This track also prepares you for graduate study in exercise and sport science.

Strength & Conditioning For students focused on training athletes and optimizing physical performance. This track prepares you to work in collegiate, professional, or private performance settings.

All three concentrations provide rigorous, career-ready preparation rooted in science and applied practice.

Learn by Doing — Not Just Observing

At LaGrange, the lab isn't a supplement to your education — it's central to it. Through the Sport Performance Enhancement Education and Development (SPEED) Center, you'll conduct real athlete assessments and coaching sessions, applying what you've learned in the classroom to real-world performance settings.

You'll also:

  • Complete a required internship that connects you directly to your career path before you graduate
  • Present research at seminars, symposiums, and conferences hosted by the SPEED Center
  • Build hands-on experience in clinical, corporate, and athletic settings that sets you apart

100% of Exercise Science majors complete an applied internship. Few undergraduate programs anywhere offer this level of real-world preparation — at LaGrange, it's built into the degree.
