Students march into the graduation ceremony

Commencement 2021

LaGrange College will be celebrating achievements of our students, especially the Classes of 2020 and 2021, during the months of April and May. Graduation participants of both the Class of 2020 and 2021 are expected to be present for Commencement Rehearsal and Commencement. We encourage all graduate students of both classes to participate in our Commencement ceremony. Honors Day and Baccalaureate will be virtual this year.

Commencement will be on Saturday, May 15, at 8:30 a.m. at Callaway Stadium. We will be honoring our 2020 graduates at the same time since we were unable to hold their Commencement ceremony last spring due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Commencement Rehearsal for both classes will be Friday, May 14, at 9:30 a.m. at Callaway Stadium.

In the event of threatening weather conditions, the rain plan published onbelow will be used. The ceremony at Callaway Stadium could be delayed, or changed to the severe weather location of LaGrange High School Gymnasium, 516 N. Greenwood St. Each graduate will already have received four tickets for guests to use at the rain location. Notification to implement the rain plan will be posted on the LaGrange College website and students will be notified by 7:00 a.m. Commencement day.

If we move to the rain location at LaGrange High School’s gym, we will hold two separate ceremonies. The Class of 2020 will be at 10:00 a.m. and the Class of 2021 at 1:30 p.m. Graduates should arrive 45 minutes before the scheduled start time of your ceremony. If you have questions or concerns about the weather and its impact on Commencement, you may call 706.880.8000 or check our website. Faculty and current students are encouraged to check their campus email.

If you have any questions regarding these academic events, please contact Ann McQuilken in the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs at amcquilk@lagrange.edu. If you have questions about commencement tickets, contact the Office of Student Engagement at bwestste@lagrange.edu.
