Commencement 2026
LaGrange College will be celebrating achievements of our students, especially the Class of 2026, during the months of April and May. Graduation participants of the Class of 2026 are expected to be present in cap and gown for Honors Day, Baccalaureate and Commencement, as well as dressed comfortably, but appropriately, for Commencement Rehearsal. We encourage all graduate students to participate in our Commencement Ceremony.
Commencement will be Saturday, May 9th, at 8:30 A.M. on the Residential Quad, located along Panther Way between Hawkins & Candler Residence Halls. Commencement Rehearsal will be Friday, May 8th at 9:30 A.M. on the Residential Quad.
All family and friends are welcome! No tickets are required.
Graduates should arrive 60 minutes before the scheduled start time of your ceremony. If you have any questions regarding these academic events, please contact the Assistant to the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs at officeofthevpaa@lagrange.edu. For questions about Baccalaureate, please contact the Rev. Ashley Jenkins, Chaplain, at ajenkins@lagrange.edu.

In the event of threatening weather conditions on May 9th, the rain plan published on this webpage will be used. Notification to implement the rain plan will be posted on the LaGrange College website and students will be notified by 7:00 A.M. Commencement Day.

Commencement Ceremony for Class of 2026 |
The ceremony will be available for livestreaming from a link on this website and through your personal device.
If you need special arrangements for handicapped guests, please call Campus Services at 706.880.8296.
In the event of threatening weather conditions, the ceremony at Callaway Stadium could be delayed, or changed to the severe weather location of Callaway Auditorium, 801 Dallis Street, LaGrange, GA 30240. Due to the capacity limits in Callaway Auditorium, each graduating student will receive 4 tickets for their guests to attend the ceremony in Callaway Auditorium. Notification to implement the rain plan will be posted on the LaGrange College website and students will be notified by 7:00 A.M. Commencement Day.
If the rain is light and intermittent, the decision to delay the quadrangle ceremony or move it to Callaway Auditorium will be made by 6:00 A.M. Commencement Day, so please check the college website and your campus email.
If we move to the rain location at Callaway Auditorium, Commencment will be broken into two ceremonies: one for Graduate students and one for Undergrad students. Graduates, faculty and participating staff should arrive 45 minutes before the start time of their ceremony.

Diplomas
Seniors are asked to complete their Graduation Petition before the end of Fall Semester. If you have not already completed a Graduation Petition with your advisor, please do so in the MyLC portal. Also, please contact the Registrar’s Office if you need to change the name on your diploma. If you are not able to participate in Commencement, your diploma will be mailed to you in the weeks following Commencement.
Regalia (cap, gown, hood for graduate students)
Undergraduate (senior) students may the pickup their regalia on March 31st between 11:00 am and 12:00 pm. The location for pick up is Callaway Academics Building, Room 120. This is only if you have not already picked up your regalia (that was distributed in August and you wore to Convocation).
Graduate students will receive their caps, gowns, and hoods during their April seminar day. The Assistant to the Vice President of Academic Affairs will reach out to you closer to time if I have not received your measurements.
We are currently out of tassels, but they will be arriving on April 8th. Graduating students can pick them up from the Office of Academic Affairs prior to graduation (after April 9th), or you may pick them up on the morning of graduation. (We always have a few on the Registrar's table at commencement for anyone who needs them.)

The Grad Team will take professional pictures of each and every graduate as they receive their diplomas and exit the stage at the graduation ceremony.

Career Services has launched their Graduation Survey for our 2026 undergraduates. This survey plays a vital role in helping the college gather meaningful data on student outcomes, career plans, and overall post-graduation readiness.
The information collected not only helps the Career Services office improve their programs and services but also contributes to institutional reporting and future student success initiatives.
