Biography

Stacey Ernstberger, PhD, is Advising Dean and Professor of Mathematics at LaGrange College, where she has taught since 2008. She is dedicated to supporting student success through mentoring, teaching, and academic advising, and she is passionate about helping students develop confidence, curiosity, and a sense of belonging. She serves as Program Coordinator for Mathematics, Computer Science, Pre-Engineering, General Studies, and Interdisciplinary Studies. Dr. Ernstberger holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics with a Computational Concentration and an MS in Applied Mathematics, both from North Carolina State University, an MEd in Higher Education Administration from LaGrange College, and a BS in Mathematics and Computer Science from Murray State University. She teaches Calculus I, II, and III, Pre-Calculus, Linear Algebra, Introduction to Statistics, Programming for the Sciences, and Problem Solving. Her areas of expertise include academic advising and academic support, student success, applied and computational mathematics, mathematical modeling, undergraduate mathematics education, and undergraduate research mentorship. When not on campus, she enjoys running, traveling, spending time with her family, and being active in her church community.
