Biography

Dr. Dionne Mahaffey is an organizational psychologist, licensed professional counselor, educator, writer, and entrepreneur with over two decades of cross-industry experience. Her background spans technology, corporate leadership, mental health, and higher education. She began her career as a software developer before rising to the C-suite and later founding multiple ventures in tech, media, and wellness. Dr. Mahaffey holds a doctorate in psychology and three master’s degrees in clinical mental health counseling, business administration, and technology management. Her work integrates evidence-based mental health practices with culturally competent, real-world insight. She is deeply committed to mentorship, advocacy, and helping students and professionals thrive at the intersection of wellness, identity, and leadership. She is an native of Birmingham, Alabama; a graduate of Auburn University (WAR EAGLE) and the proud mother of two adult children, Ashanti (a Tuskegee University grad) and Nasir (a Columbus State University grad).
