Dr. Anthony Wilson is Professor of English Writing and Publication Studies, Chair of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs at LaGrange College, where he has taught since 2004. He completed his undergraduate degree at Oglethorpe University before earning his master's and doctorate at Vanderbilt University. He is the author of two books, Shadow and Shelter: The Swamp in Southern Culture (University Press of Mississippi, 2006) and Swamp: Nature and Culture (Reaktion, 2018), and co-editor of a third, Swamp Souths (LSU Press, 2020). Dr. Wilson teaches a wide variety of courses in American and world literature, film studies, genre fiction, poetry, drama, and writing. His areas of expertise include Southern, American, and world literature, popular culture, film and television studies, and literature and the environment.
