Bearden, Cindi

Biography

Cindi Bearden is the J. K. Boatwright Sr. Associate Professor of Accountancy and Accounting Program Coordinator.  She received her Computer Science diploma at Ayers Community College, her B.S. in Accounting from Jacksonville State University, and her Master of Accountancy from the University of Alabama.  Cindi is retired as an Alabama CPA.  A 35 year veteran in college accounting education, she has been honored as “Accounting Teacher of the Year” at the University of North Alabama and “Delta Mu Delta Teacher of the Year” at Birmingham-Southern College.  She is currently in her twenty-fifth year with LaGrange College.  In 2021 Prof. Bearden received the John R. Hines Jr. Undergraduate Research Award for her work with students.  Cindi’s primary emphasis is Financial and Managerial Accounting, however, she also teaches regularly in Business Communications.  Cindi manages the business program’s accreditation compliance.
