Tracy Clahan Riggs came to LaGrange College in 1999 from Florida where she was teaching at Central Florida Community College. She holds a BFA in Acting from Catholic University in Washington, DC and an MFA from Florida Atlantic University. She had the honor of studying with Herbert Berghof at HB Studio in New York City, and with Zoe Caldwell while at FAU. In addition to teaching Acting, Auditioning, Drama Survey, Theatre History and Stage Management, Mrs. Riggs has directed 20 productions at LaGrange College including The Cherry Orchard, Daughters, The Philadelphia Story, Proof, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Crimes of the Heart, God of Carnage, Blithe Spirit, and most recently, These Shining Lives. She also appeared on the Price stage as Kleonike in Lysistrata, Big Mama in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, and as Mattie Fae in AUGUST: Osage County. Mrs. Riggs and her husband John, also a theatre teacher, have three adult children, none of whom have gone into theatre!
