"LaGrange College will be distinguished as a college that transforms the lives
of its students and its communities." This bold vision statement captures the essence
of the LaGrange College experience.
Transformation is, after all, inevitable when faculty and staff devote their lives
to challenging and inspiring students through rigorous academic study, an enriching
campus life experience and active engagement with their community. Every day I
am inspired by the stories of student transformation that I hear and see on our
campus. You can see video profiles of some of those students here.
As we work to prepare men and women to become successful, responsible citizens
in an increasingly interconnected world, we also are transforming this institution.
Our new Study-Away Commitment assures all entering freshmen a broader experience
of their world by guaranteeing them a study-away experience in their junior or
senior years, regardless of their financial capacity.
Our new Servant Scholars program will encourage our most motivated students to
study, and to serve, their community as part of a residential learning/living experience
housed in a historic, beautifully restored apartment building midway between campus
and downtown. We aim to transform both their lives and our community.
Transformation —challenging, inspiring, exciting. That is what you'll find here
