Ride with Pride : Updated LaGrange College license plates arrive

The latest edition of LaGrange College's Georgia license plate is now available, and this year's plate features a new look, according to Director of Alumni and Parent Relations Martha Pirkle.

"For the first time, we have the prefix 'LC' appearing before the plate number, which really enhances the look of the plate," said Pirkle. "Also, the illustration of Smith Hall has been updated."

The rendering of Smith Hall appears on the left side of the new plate, with the "LC" prefix located to the right of the Smith Hall depiction, just before the plate number. "LaGrange College" appears in red at the base of the plate.

"We could not be more pleased with the way the redesigned plates turned out," said Pirkle. "This year's new design has produced the most attractive plate we've offered to date.

"Purchasing a LaGrange College license plate is a great way for people to display their association with Georgia's oldest private institution of higher learning, and it helps promote the college," added Pirkle.

Pirkle said that those who have not ordered the new plate from the Georgia Department of Motor Vehicles can still get one, but must go through the College to do so. There is a $25 one-time manufacturing fee involved with the purchase of a collegiate plate as well as a $25 special tag fee.

To order the new plate, contact Nancy Spradlin in the LaGrange College Office of Business Affairs at (706) 880-8231 or
