1. Banks Hall

Banks Hall, constructed in 1963, recently underwent extensive renovations and now serves as a one-stop shop for information about LaGrange. It houses Admission, Financial Aid, the Business Office and Registrar, as well as the offices of the President and other College leaders. Until spring 2009, Banks served as the campus library.

2. The Chapel *

Regular worship services are held in the Chapel during the academic year. Completed in 1965 the structure includes two stained glass windows made in Belgium over 100 years ago; a stone from the temple of Apollo in Corinth, Greece; a stone from the Benedictine Monastery in Iona, Scotland; and a stone from St. Georges Chapel in Windsor, England.

3. Cason J. Calloway Science Building *

Built in 1972, the science building houses the latest equipment for instruction in General Science, Biology, Chemistry, Math and Physics.

4. Louise Anderson Manget Building *

Completed in 1959 and renovated in 2001, Manget houses the Departments of English, Latin American Studies and Modern Languages, and Religion and Philosophy.

5. Hawkes Hall *

A recent $1.4 million renovation allows the four-story Hawkes Hall to house female students on the second, third and fourth floors, while Education Department offices and classrooms occupy the ground floor. Student rooms with wood floors and high ceilings are furnished with single beds (mattresses measure 36" x 72"), chests, desks, lamps and chairs. The building, which features a large-screen TV lounge and three separate coin-operated laundry facilities, was named in memory of Mrs. Harriet Hawkes, mother of College benefactor A.K. Hawkes.

6. Fuller E. Callaway Academic Building *

Completed in 1981 and renovated in 2000, the Callaway Academic Building houses the Departments of Nursing, Psychology, History and Political Science, and Human Services.

7. Quillian Building

Constructed in 1949, the Quillian Building houses the offices of Spiritual Life, Church Relations, Core Program & Interim and Information Technology.

8. Smith Hall *

The oldest building on campus, Smith Hall was constructed in 1842 of handmade brick formed from native clay. Its four Doric columns have long been known as Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Smith houses classrooms, the departments of Accountancy, Business and Computer Science, as well as Communications and Marketing, Evening College, the Career Center, the Dean of Students and the VP for Student Life and Retention.

9. Pitts Hall

A small dorm with some of the campus's largest rooms, Pitts Hall is known for its close proximity to classrooms, labs, and the Mabry Gipson Student Center. Rooms are furnished with two single beds (mattresses measure 36" x 72"), chests, desks, lamps and chairs. There are coin-operated laundry facilities and a large-screen TV lounge. The building was named in memory of Mr. and Mrs. W.I.H. Pitts and in honor of their daughter, Margaret Adger Pitts, a former College trustee.

10. Pedestrian Bridge

The pedestrian bridge, spanning Vernon Street, links the Lewis Library with adjacent parking. It was dedicated in 2009 in honor of past president Stuart Gulley and his wife, Kathleen.

11. Lewis Library

The 45,000 square foot Lewis Library features 12 group-study areas, shelving for 190,000 volumes, writing and tutoring centers, a 51-seat auditorium, 24-hour study space, a large conference room and two suites for special collections and archives.

12. Margaret Adger Pitts Dining Hall *

Completed in 1962 and renovated in 1998, this two-story building houses the dining area, kitchen, Campus Bookstore, Campus Post Office and copy center.

13. Warren A. Candler Cottage

Built in 1929 as a home for the College president, Candler Cottage is now the home of the Office of Advancement.

14. J.K. Boatwright Residence Hall *

Renovated in 2003, Boatwright Hall features a traditional dormitory arrangement with a central hall and two community bathrooms on each floor. Double occupancy rooms house up to 102 men. Every Boatwright room comes with a refrigerator and microwave, beds (mattresses measure 36" x 80"), desks, chairs, dressers, closets and window blinds. The building was named for J.K. Boatwright, longtime member of the College's Board of Trustees.

15. Turner Hall *

Built in 1958, Turner Hall was renovated and enlarged in 2003 to house the Mabry Gipson Student Center, which features a large meeting room known as the Dickson Assembly Room. The third floor remains a residence hall.

16. Waights G.Henry Jr. Residence Hall

This five-story brick building features open-air porches and air-conditioned, four-person suites. Internet access is provided, as well as cable TV, coin-operated laundry facilities and a large-screen TV lounge. Unique to Henry Hall is a 24-hour computer lab and tutoring center. The structure is named in honor of Dr. Waights G. Henry, Jr., president of LaGrange College from 1948-1978.

17. Alfred Mariotti Gymnasium *

Built in 1959, Mariotti gym houses physical education classrooms and facilities for indoor athletics.

18. Hawkins Hall *

Completed in 2002, this apartment-style hall houses 124 students. Arranged in either two-or-four-bedroom floor plans with one bathroom per two students, the apartments are fully furnished and have full kitchens. Hawkins Hall is named in honor of Annie Carter Hawkins and in the memory of Allen Willard Hawkins, Sr., parents of Scott Hawkins '74.

19. Candler Residence Hall *

With a layout that mirrors its neighboring Hawkins Hall on the Residential Quad, Candler features fully-furnished two-or-four-bedroom apartments that include cable TV, internet access and phone lines in each room. A community room is located at the end of the east wing. Candler Hall is named in memory of Mrs. Lee Edwards Candler.

20. Mitchell Building

The Mitchell Building is located on the grounds of the Sunny Gables Alumni House. It is named in memory of Evelyn Mitchell, a trustee of The Arthur Vining Davis Foundation.

21. Sunny Gables Alumni House

Built in 1926 and purchased by LaGrange College in 1973, Sunny Gables underwent renovations in 2002. It now serves as the College's alumni house.

22. President's Home

Acquired by the College in 1964, this home originally was occupied by local attorney and former trustee Hatton Lovejoy. The first College family to live in the house was that of Dr. Waights G. Henry, Jr., who moved from the former president’s residence in Candler Cottage. Designed in 1934, the home represents a combination of Georgian and Neoclassical elements.

23. Price Theater *

Completed in 1975, this dramatic arts building seats 280 and houses classrooms for the Department of Theatre Arts, faculty offices, scenery workshop, dressing rooms, costume room, actors' lounge and a black box theater.

24. Lamar Dodd Art Center *

Built in 1982, the art center provides the physical environment and the equipment needed for art instruction as well as gallery space for the College's oustanding art collection.

25. Cleaveland Baseball Field *

Cleaveland Field opened in 2000 as LaGrange College's new $2.21 million baseball facility. Callaway Foundation, Inc., gave a challenge grant as well as the land to honor Philip Cleaveland, who served the College as a trustee for 19 years.

26. Callaway Education Building *

Built in 1965 and renovated in 1994, this building houses the Music Department, Offices of Intercollegiate and Intramural Athletics, and Offices of the Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation. The facility includes state-of-the-art electronic music equipment, a recording studio, a fitness center, a gymnasium and faculty offices.

27. Nick Allen Pavilion

The Nick Allen Pavilion serves as a sheltered area with picnic tables and food service capabilities situated in the picnic area near the tennis courts on South campus.

28. Football Practice Field

Located adjacent to the Callaway Education Building, the practice football field is used exclusively by the LaGrange College football team and is located in close proximity to both the varsity weight room and football locker room.

29. Tennis Courts

The college has two sets of tennis courts with the largest (a six court configuration) being situated adjacent to the Hudson Natatorium. While all available courts may be used during varsity competition, the six court configuration remains the primary competition site.

30. Softball Complex *

The LaGrange College Softball Complex features a press box/office along with a separate building that houses the coaching offices and the Panthers' locker room. Permanente fencing surrounds one of the two fields that make up the complex. The Panthers' home field is considered one of the finest in NCAA division III . The complex has also been the home of the USCAA National Championship Tournament. Field Dimensions: Left field: 210 Ft./Center Field: 220 Ft./Right Field: 210 Ft.

31. Charles D. Hudson Natatorium *

Constructed in 1947, this oversized pool was divided into an outdoor pool and natatorium by the College. The complex is equipped for a year-round aquatics program.

32. Soccer Field *

This superbly configured field is used by the LaGrange College men's and women's soccer teams as well as the women's lacrosse team.

33. Callaway Auditorium *

Built in 1941, Callaway Auditorium served as a multi-use venue for community events until its 2005 transformation into a state-of-the-art concert hall. In addition to sparkling acoustics, the hall offers 740 armchair seats, 32 box seats, and a lobby that preserves historic features from the original building.

34. Callaway Stadium *

Callaway Stadium is located at the far side of south campus. Shared by local high schools and the college, the stadium features a 27' by 32' Jumbotron style scoreboard and artificial turf.
