
Internationally acclaimed best-selling author David Baldacci will be the featured speaker at a special gathering hosted by Friends of the LaGrange College Library on Monday, May 5. The event includes dinner and starts at 6:30 p.m. at Best Western Lafayette Garden Inn in LaGrange. Baldacci burst on the literary scene in 1996 with his first novel, "Absolute Power," which was made into a major motion picture starring Clint Eastwood and Gene Hackman. Since then, he's published 15 additional novels including "The Camel Club," "Total Control" and "Saving Faith."
His books have been translated into more than 40 languages and sold in more than 80 countries. All of his novels have been national and international bestsellers. Currently, more than 50 million copies of Baldacci's books are in print worldwide.
Active in numerous charities, Baldacci serves as a national ambassador for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and works with the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy, the American Cancer Society and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
