Welcome The Financial Aid Office is pleased that you are considering continuing your education at LaGrange Collegeone of the most affordable private colleges in the Southeast. While we know that LaGrange has much to offer you, we also know that the desire to attend college is often dampened by the reality of financing the expenses associated with higher education.
With this in mind, we offer a broad range of financial aid programs, including the HOPE Scholarship, to assist families in realizing their dream of attending college. Yes, the HOPE Scholarship is available to Georgia residents attending private colleges.
Beginning with fall 2002, we also offer HOPEMatch, a grant awarded to enrolling freshmen who graduate from high school as a HOPE Scholar or from an out-of-state high school with a 3.0 or better grade point average. Through HOPEMatch, LaGrange College will match your $3,000 private college HOPE Scholarship (for a maximum of $3,000 per year). Students awarded academic scholarships will receive the greater of the HOPEMatch or their academic award.
Georgia residents also can receive the Tuition Equalization Grant, a non-need-based grant awarded to full-time students attending a private college or university. The amount of this grant is subject to appropriations by the Georgia legislature. Although many other programs are awarded based on financial need, there are non-need-based grants, scholarships, loans and student employment available. As you explore our Web site, you will learn more about financial aid programs, eligibility requirements and the cost of attendance at LaGrange College. The Financial Aid Office looks forward to working with you in exploring financial aid options.
