LaGrange College will be celebrating achievements of our students, especially
the Class of 2016, during the months of April and May. We hope that you will be
able to join us as we acknowledge the success of our students. If you are part
of the Class of 2016, you are expected to be present for Honors Day, Baccalaureate,
Commencement Rehearsal, and Commencement. Seniors, if for any reason, you are unable
to attend any of these events, you must submit a petition to be excused to the
Office of the Provost. We encourage all graduate students to participate in our
Commencement will begin at 8:30am on Saturday, 21 May. In the event of drizzle
or soft rain, the ceremony will proceed on time. If weather
conditions persist, a change in venue may become possible. The attendees are
encouraged to wear a rain poncho instead of using an umbrella; however, umbrellas

If you have not already completed a Graduation Petition with your advisor, please
pick one up immediately from the Registrar's Office. Also, please contact
the Registrar's Office if you need to change the name on your diploma.
If you are not able to participate in Commencement, your diploma will be mailed
to you the week following Commencement.
Cap and Gown
If you do not already have your cap and gown, please order yours immediately with
the Business Office (706 880.8231).
Diploma frames and other graduation gift items are available at the Panther Connection
Gift Shop. The Panther Connection will be open following the Commencement Ceremony.
Q: Do we need tickets for our family and friends?
No tickets or invitations are needed for Commencement. Come early for a good seat!
If the weather forces the relocation of the event to Callaway Auditorium, tickets
be required, and typically (depending on the number of graduates) there are 6
tickets available to each graduating student. If the ceremony is moved to the auditorium,
tickets will be issued to the students in the days preceding the event.
