If you are a college that takes seriously the liberal arts tradition, then there is not a more important, more fundamental part of your institution’s life than the library. A library is the intellectual heart of everything an academic institution is about. You can’t achieve your mission without a viatle, vibrant intellectual academic center.

As I evaluate where I invest my time and my finances, I want to put them where they’re going to make a difference—where they’re going to count. Here at LaGrange College, everyone is squarely on board to make this institution the very best it can possily be. I want to be associated with an organization and people who are motivated to achieve something that’s really significant in life.

LaGrange College plays such a vital role in this community. It’s a large part of what makes this a thriving and culturally enriching place. All of us—not just alumni—have an interest in seeing that the College continues to grow and expand its ability to fulfill its mission. As a volunteer, it’s rewarding to see the major strides being taken at this time.

As an alumna, I’m always happy to see the College grow in positive directions, and this current effort is probably our most ambitious one since my years as a student. To succeed, it’s vital that alumni rally around the College at this time. If others who haven’t shared the LaGrange experience have the confidence to give to our future, then how much more should we as alumni consider making a significant gift to our alma mater?
