Servant-Leadership Initiatives
The Seekers Program Open to all faculty and staff This program allows participants the opportunity to explore the philosophy of Servant-Leadership. Alternative Spring Break Trip
Open to all students during spring break Students will become actively engaged in servant-leadership in another culture. Students will dialogue with each other as well as with members of another culture while working on a particular project to enhance the community.
Benefits of Involvement The Servant-Leadership Program offers a diverse set of activities targeted toward improving the philosophy of leading by serving others. Other program activities and benefits include: Assessment of personality, ethics, and leadership style These assessments will provide participants with individualized reports of their leadership strengths and weakness.
A mentoring relationship Each new Fellow or Seeker will be assigned a faculty/staff mentor (a graduate of the Seekers Program) who will provide feedback and suggestions for servant-leadership development.
Development and implementation of a service project With the assistance of faculty/staff mentor, participants will develop and implement a service project that coincides with the participant's talents and passions, and addresses what the participant understands to be a great need of society.
