Servant-Leadership Fellows The Fellows program seeks to prepare students with the skills and strengths they need to add value to their communities and organizations. The program provides students with experimental opportunities to assess and develop their leadership capacities while serving others. During the course of the Servant-Leadership program, Fellows will: Increase their commitment to leading by serving others Be able to determine the difference between community service and servant-leadership Increase awareness of their own leadership strengths and weaknesses Improve both interpersonal and intrapersonal communication skills Raise their awareness of civic and social issues
Application Process Admission into the Fellows program is the result of an interview process conducted each year during Spring Semester. The number of students admitted will vary from year to year and is based on funds available (typically about 14 Fellows). All Fellows must: Have Sophomore or greater status Participate in all Servant-Leadership activities throughout their enrollment in the program Demonstrate leadership and commitment to service in community activities Develop a Servant-Leadership project to remain in the program A committee of current Fellows and administrators will review all applications and select finalists for a panel interview. After the interview phase, Fellows will be selected and informed of admission. Fellows will be required to attend an orientation for the Servant-Leadership program prior to the commencement of the Fall semester.
