College life can be new and exciting. It can also be a time of extreme stress for the college freshman. A new school, new friends, new environment; not to mention difficult classes and more free time can lead to a rough start for many new students.
Remember to take time for your self. Don't get overloaded with the schoolwork and other activities. Be aware of how much you are taking on and how many commitments you are accepting. It's your responsibility now to look after you.
Don't be afraid to talk to your friends and teachers about your concerns. Chances are they are experiencing the same things or have been through them.
Find clubs that share your interests. Find friends with whom you have a common background. Find friends with whom you have nothing in common and create a common ground. But try to keep everything that you are doing in perspective. All of the possibilities can be overwhelming. Pace yourself and don't overload yourself.
