Barba named GSAC player of the week

LaGrange College's Jessica Barba is the GSAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Jan. 6. The senior post player helped the Panthers split two games last week.

Barba averaged 17.5 points and 11 rebounds per game in the two games. She shot 56 percent from the floor and made 7-of-9 free throws. Barba also had four blocks and two steals. She had career-high 19 points against Agnes Scott.

Barba leads the Panthers in scoring and rebounding, averaging 10.2 and 7.7 rebounds per game. She is in the top 10 in six different GSAC categories.
