Huntingdon ends Panthers season with last second win

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – LaGrange College's season ended with a 79-77 loss to Huntingdon College in a GSAC Championship Tournament first round game at Roland Arena on Tuesday. Lori Bonds hit two free throws with 0.8 second left in the game to give the Lady Hawks the win. The fifth-seeded Panthers ended their season 11-15, while Huntingdon upped its record to 15-11.

Barba selected to GSAC all-conference team

Senior Jessica Barba was selected to the GSAC All-Conference team as announced by the conference office Tuesday. LaGrange also had four players earn GSAC All-Academic honors.

Barba sparks Panthers' win over Huntingdon

Senior Jessica Barba sparked a second-half comeback to lead LaGrange College to a 74-68 win over Huntingdon College on Thursday at Mariotti Gym. The win closed out the regular season for the Panthers, now 11-14 overall and 5-7 in the GSAC. Huntingdon dropped to 14-10 overall and 6-5 in conference play.

Panthers hang on to down Concordia

LaGrange College held on for a 60-59 non-conference win over Concordia College-Selma on Monday night at Mariotti Gym. The Panthers improved to 10-14, while the Hornets dropped to 14-13. Senior Jessica Barba set a school single-season record for rebounds, while leading the Panthers with a double-double of 18 points and 13 rebounds.

GSAC leader Piedmont downs Panthers

DEMOREST, Ga. – Piedmont College opened the game with a big run and went on to a 77-58 win over LaGrange College at the Johnny Mize Athletic Center on Saturday. The loss dropped the Panthers to 9-14 overall and 4-7 in GSAC play. The Lady Lions stayed perfect in conference play, upping their record to 10-0 and 20-3 overall. Jessica Barba led the Panthers with a game-high double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Panthers fourth in nation in rebounding margin

LaGrange College ranks fourth in NCAA Division III rebounding margin in the latest statistics released Wednesday. The Panthers are out rebounding their opponents by a margin of 13.3 rebounds per game.
