Huntingdon hands Panthers third straight GSAC loss

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Huntingdon College handed LaGrange College its third straight GSAC loss with a 3-1 win Tuesday night at the Porter Gym. The loss dropped the Panthers to 3-6 overall and 0-3 in conference play. The Lady Hawks improved to 4-8 overall and 1-2 in conference play.

The Panthers took the first game 30-20. Britny Greensage and Connie Russell had six of the Panthers' 10 kills in the game. But Huntingdon came back, sweeping the next three games by scores of 30-22, 30-27 and 30-23 to take the match.

Greensage and Lisa Burgee each had nine kills in the match to lead the Panthers. Kayla Black had a double-double of 35 assists and 11 digs. Grace Burgess had a team-high 27 digs.

The Panthers are on the road Friday at Agnes Scott and Saturday against Spelman in GSAC matches. The Panthers return home Sept. 26 against Judson.
