LaGrange has seven players recognized at GSAC awards presentation

LaGrange College had seven of its volleyball players recognized at the GSAC awards presentation as part of the GSAC Championship Tournament.

Britny Greensage, a sophomore from Missouri City, Texas, was selected to the 2007 GSAC All-Conference team. Greensage led the Panthers with 203 kills, averaging 2.36 per game. She also led the team with 67 total blocks. During the season, Greensage had a season-high 14 kills against Covenant and a .410 hitting percentage against Methodist. She had double-figures in kills in seven matches this season. Greensage was a GSAC All-Freshman selection in 2006.

Casey Craig and Jennifer Fields were named to the 2007 GSAC All-Freshman team. Craig, from Huntsville, Ala., appeared in 25 matches and 62 games. She had 81 kills and 178 digs. Fields, from Verbena, Ala., appeared in 21 matches and 39 games. She had 60 kills, 28 digs and 15 blocks.

The Panthers had four players earn 2007 GSAC All-Academic honors. Junior Lisa Burgee, a biology major from Lawrenceville, Ga., earned the honor for the second straight year. Joining Burgee were sophomores Ashley Hoglund of Floral City, Fla.; Sarah Newland of Duluth, Ga. and Jennifer Putnam of Evans, Ga.
