Head Coach Megan Moore
Megan Moore makes the transition from a player for the Panthers to their head coach. Moore was a four-year letterman for the Panthers under former head coach Kelly Britsky and brings a total of 15 years playing experience to the job. She graduated from LaGrange in 2007 with a degree in biology and a minor in Spanish. Moore is also pursuing her master's degree in education.
During her career at LaGrange, Moore was on the Great South Athletic Conference All-Academic team for three straight years. She was an All-GSAC selection as a senior in 2006. She was on the GSAC All-Freshmen team in 2003. Moore was the Panthers' Most Valuable Player last season and a team captain. She was in the top five in seven different individual categories. Moore led the team in games played (100), assists (484) and service aces (49).
Moore finished her career being ranked in the top 10 of six different categories. She tied for 10th in games played (447), ninth in kills (655), seventh in hitting percentage (.244), third in assists (957), second in service aces (251), eighth in total blocks (187) and 10th in blocks per game (0.42). Moore had personal career-highs for a season in assists (484) and digs (300). She set game career-highs in kills (14), aces (9), digs (25) and assists (29) last season as a senior.
Moore is a Pensacola, Fla. native and a graduate of East Hill Christian High School. She was the volleyball team MVP as a senior. Moore was named to the Pensacola News Journal All-Area first team and a Florida Class A honorable mention all-state as a senior also.
Assistant Coach Emily Cummins Emily Cummins begins her first year with the Panthers. Cummins comes to LaGrange from Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio. She was an assistant basketball coach at Otterbein for three seasons. Cummins was involved with various aspects of the Otterbein program, including guard development and the head coach for the JV program.
Cummins played her college basketball at Wilmington College in Wilmington, Ohio. In her senior year, Wilmington won the NCAA Division III national championship. Cummins was named the Sectionals Most Valuable Player after scoring the winning basket with 23 seconds left that lifted her team into the Final Four. At Wilmington, Cummins played on three Ohio Athletic Conference champions, an Elite Eight team and a Sweet Sixteen team.
Cummins holds a bachelor's degree in sports management from Wilmington and a master's degree in business administration from Otterbein.
