LaGrange ends season with loss to Maryville in GSAC semifinals

DEMOREST, Ga. – LaGrange College saw its season end with a 9-0 loss to Maryville College in the semifinals of the GSAC Championship Tournament on Friday at Piedmont College. The Panthers finished the season 6-10-1, while the top-seeded Lady Scots improved to 16-4-1.

Jaimie Roberts led Maryville with four goals. She scored three goals in the first half as the Lady Scots took a 5-0 lead at halftime. The Lady Scots also got goals from Rachel Rushworth, Jessica Petersen, Brynn Dailey, Laura Kelley and Sarah Powell.

The Panthers were outshot 33-5 in the game. Panther goalkeeper Jennifer had eight saves in the game.

It was the final game for Panther seniors Stephanie Clark, Stephanie McRae and Noel Winter.
