LaGrange has nine players recognized at GSAC awards presentation

DEMOREST, Ga. – LaGrange College had nine of its women's soccer players recognized at the GSAC awards presentation as part of the GSAC Championship Tournament at Piedmont College.

Seniors Stephanie Clark and Stephanie McRae were named to the 2007 GSAC All-Conference team. Clark, a graphic arts major from Salt Lake City, Utah, was selected for the third time to the team. She has been a four-year starter in the Panthers' back line, appearing in 64 games. McRae, a biology major from Trion, Ga., She led the Panthers in goals scored with nine and in points with 19. McRae had two game-winning goals this season.

Shelley Cathcart, Jennifer Eby, Heather Folsom and Allison Snider were selected to the 2007 GSAC All-Freshman team. Cathcart, from Lawrenceville, Ga., started all 17 games this season on the Panthers' back line. She had a goal and two assists this season. Eby, from New Concord, Ohio, started all 17 games in goal for the Panthers. She had a 2.71 goals against average and posted five shutouts. Folsom started 13 games, while Snider started all 17 games for the Panthers in the back line.

Clark was also one of four Panthers to earn 2007 GSAC All-Academic honors. Senior business major Noel Winter, from Dalton, Ga.; along with sophomores Marlaina Johnson and Akina Omae, both from LaGrange, joined Clark on the team.
