Emory & Henry tops Panthers 4-0

EMORY, Va. – Elliott Anderson scored two first half goals to lead Emory & Henry to a 4-0 non-conference win over LaGrange College on Saturday. The Panthers fell to 0-2 on the season, while the Yellow Jackets improved to 4-1.

Anderson got both of his goals in the first half. He scored 21 minutes into the game and again 13 minutes later to give the Yellow Jackets a 2-0 lead. Erik Olson assisted Anderson on both goals.

Emory & Henry closed out the scoring in the second half with goals from Henry Byars and Chris O'Conner. Goalkeeper Daniel Mills made seven saves to keep the Panthers from scoring. Panther goalkeeper Ben Rollins also had seven saves.

The Panthers face Averett University in Danville, Va. on Sunday.
