Petrels Overwhelm Panthers, 11-0

The Oglethorpe University men's soccer team defeated LaGrange College on Tuesday afternoon, 11-0. Played on a rain-soaked field, the Petrels took control early and dominated the contest from start to finish.

For the game, Oglethorpe out shot LaGrange by a whopping 36-6 margin and registered eight different players in the goals scored column with Jonathan McConnell, Danner Marsden, David Mueller, Matt Brisendine, Italo Cordoza, Josh Rosendahl, Jonn Warde and Russell Kramer each finding the back of the net. Brisendine, Marsden and Warde each tallied two goals.

The Panthers, who drop to 1-11, will square off against Maryville for their final road game of the season on Sunday, Oct. 22.  The game is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
