Panthers defeated by Maryville in GSAC action Oct. 1, 2006
The LaGrange College men's soccer team played well in the second half, but a bad first half sealed their fate, falling 4-0 to the Fighting Scots of Maryville College on Sunday at Panther Field.
Maryville (7-3 overall, 3-0 GSAC) found the net three times in the first half, including a goal in the fifth minute of the game.
LaGrange (1-6 overall, 0-3 GSAC) was out shot in the game 33-3. The Panthers were unable to get quality advances to have an opportunity to score.
Jason Baker finished the game with 16 saves for the Panthers.
The Panthers travel to Montgomery, Ala. on Oct. 3 to face Huntingdon College in another conference match-up. The Panthers are looking to get a win back from the Hawks, falling 3-2 in overtime at home on Sept. 12.
