Panthers blanked by Georgia Southwestern

The men's soccer team fell 2-0 to Georgia Southwestern on Friday in Americus, Ga.  The loss dropped the Panthers to 1-4 while the Hurricanes improved to 2-5.

 

The Hurricanes grabbed the lead early as Keith Henck scored from 15 yards out to give them a 1-0 advantage in the 14th minute.  In the second half, they would increase its lead in the 55th minute with a Derick Shicker goal an assist from Etchu Tabe.

 

Junior goalkeeper Jason Baker finished the contest with six saves for the Panthers.

 

The Panthers face Methodist College on Monday, Sept. 25 at 4 p.m. at Piedmont College in Demorest, Ga.  It will be the first-ever meeting between the two teams.
