LaGrange has seven players recognized at GSAC awards presentation Nov. 2, 2007
DEMOREST, Ga. LaGrange College had seven of its men's soccer players recognized at the GSAC awards presentation as part of the GSAC Championship Tournament at Piedmont College.
Senior Kojo Cole-Kesse and junior Steve Vitale were selected to the 2007 GSAC All-Conference team. Cole-Kesse, an accounting major from Doraville, Ga., was selected for the fourth straight year. He is second on the team in scoring with four goals and eight points. Vitale, from LaGrange, Ga., played in all 16 games on the Panthers' back line. He had an assist during the season.
The Panthers had four players selected to the 2007 GSAC All-Freshman team. Rhett Fordham, from St. Mary's, Ga., led the team in scoring with seven goals and an assist for 15 points. Ben Rollins, from Carrollton, Ga., started all 16 games in goal for the Panthers. He had an 2.88 goals against average and three shutouts. Jamel Jackson, also from St. Mary's, Ga., played the midfield for the Panthers. He had two goals during the season. Mohamed Sesay, from Clarkson, Ga., led the team with five assists during the season.
Senior Ryan Snider, a religion and philosophy major from Richmond Hill, Ga., earned 2007 All-Academic honors. It was the third year in a row Snider has earned all-academic honors.
