Maryville blanks Panthers in final GSAC regular season game

MARYVILLE, Tenn. – Maryville blanked LaGrange College 4-0 on Saturday. It was the final GSAC game of the season for the Panthers (3-11-1, 1-5 GSAC). The Fighting Scots closed out a perfect 6-0 in GSAC play and improved to 12-3-1 on the season.

It was the second win of the season for Maryville over the Panthers. The Fighting Scots had won the first meeting 2-1 on Oct. 4. The Panthers played Saturday without three starters, including goalkeeper Ben Rollins.

Cameron Williams played in goal for the Panthers. He faced 26 shots, with 13 of those on goal. Williams had nine saves in the game.

The Panthers close out the regular season Tuesday against Emmanuel. Kickoff is 7 p.m.
