Panthers finish fourth at Wynlakes Winter Nationals

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The LaGrange College golf team tied for fourth at the Wynlakes Winter Nationals tournament played at the Wynlakes Country Club. The Panthers tied with tournament host and third-ranked Huntingdon College.

The Panthers, ranked eighth in NCAA Division III shot a final round team score of 305. It was two shots off of Abraham Baldwin's best round of the day 303. The Panthers finished with a two-day total of 621. Central Alabama Community College won the two-day event with a total of 605.

The Panthers' Freddy Uribe earned all-tournament honors. He shot a final round one-under 71 to tie Huntingdon's Matt Smith for third in the individual standings. Uribe had a two-day total of 146. Rounding out the rest of the scoring for the Panthers were: Ryan Willis (81-77, 158), Anthony Yacovazzi (81-79, 160), Bo Tiller (79-81, 160) and Ryan Howard (86-78, 164).

The Panthers host the Callaway Gardens Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, March 5-6.
