Panthers end fall  schedule with fifth place finish at Oglethorpe Fall In

GAINESVILLE, Ga. – The LaGrange College golf team finished its fall schedule with a fifth-place finish at the Royal Lakes/Oglethorpe Fall In at the Royal Lakes golf course. The Panthers had a two-day total of 592 over the par-71 course.

Guilford College won the two-day event by two shots over host Oglethorpe University. Methodist University was third, Huntingdon College fourth and LaGrange. The 12-team field had four of the top five teams in NCAA Division III.

Anthony Yacovazzi and Ryan Willis tied for 12th in the individual standings with 4-over-par 146 totals. Yacovazzi had rounds of 74-72, while Willis had rounds of 71-75. Bo Tiller was three shots back of Yacovazzi and Willis at 149. He had rounds of 74-75. Ryan Howard had rounds of 74-77 for a total of 151 and Tony Kim had rounds of 76-79 for a total of 155.

The Panthers' fifth-place finish was their best finish in the four fall tournaments they competed in. They finished in the top-10 in three of the four tournaments.
