Men's Golf Advances to Third Round in NCAA Tournament

The men's golf team shot five strokes better than the first round to make the cut into the third day of the NCAA National Tournament in Indianapolis, IN on Wednesday.  The Panthers shot an overall 317, placing them tied for 18th place in the standings heading into Thursday.

 

Anthony Yacovazzi, a sophomore for the Panthers, shot a 76 on Wednesday, two strokes better than the previous round to put him at 4-over and tied for 25th place, leading the team.  Bo Tiller and Ryan Willis each are at 8-over entering today's round after each shooting 80 in the second round.  Alex Elorriaga would shoot 81 and Freddy Uribe with 88.

 

The Panthers are now 23 shots behind St. John's (MN) for the lead.  Tournament favorite and #1 Methodist missed the cut.
