Panthers have strong finish in NCAA Tournament

Carmel, Ind. The Panthers shot a tournament-high 313 overall to finish 21st in the NCAA Tournament in Indiana on Friday afternoon at Hawthorns Golf and Country Club. It was the Panthers second appearance in the NCAA Tournament and the first since 2004.
Bo Tiller led the Panthers, shooting a 73 in the final round to finish 19-over par for the tournament and a 19th place finish individually. Anthony Yacovazzi bounced back from a sub-par performance on Thursday to shoot ten strokes better with a 75. He finished 26-over par for the tournament and finished 43rd individually.
Alex Elorriaga shot a 79 to finish 35-over par for the week, placing him 87th individually. Ryan Willis shot an 86 while Fred Uribe shot an 88 in the final round.
The Panthers, who took one sophomore and four freshmen, were one of the youngest teams in the tournament, but made it to the final round.
