Panthers 19th at NCAA championship after completing soggy third round
May 15, 2008

BRASELTON, Ga. – Playing in soggy conditions, LaGrange fell to 19th in the standings at the NCAA Division III Men's Championship being played at the Chateau Elan Resort's Chateau Course. The Panthers play their final round of the championship Friday beginning at 12:50.

Senior Ryan Howard had the Panthers' shining moment in the rain. Howard recorded a hole-in-one on the par-3 eighth hole. It was the first one in the tournament and the second by a Panther in a NCAA championship. For Howard, it was the second one of his collegiate career. Howard led the Panthers with a seven-over 78.

Ryan Willis was right behind Howard with a 79. Alex Elorriaga and Anthony Yacovazzi both recorded rounds of 80. Bo Tillis finished the Panthers' scoring with a round of 81.
