Panthers rally to finish seventh at Chick-fil-A Collegiate Invitational

ROME, Ga. - LaGrange College's golf team rallied in the final round to finish seventh at the Chick-fil-A Collegiate Invitational. The tournament, hosted by Berry College, was played on the par-72 Coosa Country Club. The Panthers started the second and final round in 14th place after a first round score of 309. The Panthers shot a final round 288 to move up in the standings. The Panthers' final round score was the third best turned in by any of the 24-team field.

Willis' top 10 finish leads Panthers at Tom O'Briant Memorial Tournament

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The LaGrange College golf team finished 11th at the Tom O'Briant Memorial Tournament hosted by Guilford College. The two-day tournament was played on the par-71, 6,942-yard layout at the Greensboro Country Club. Junior Ryan Willis led the Panthers with his second straight fall top-10 individual finish.

Carmel, Ind. – The Panthers shot a tournament-high 313 overall to finish 21st in the NCAA Tournament in Indiana on Friday afternoon at Hawthorns Golf and Country Club. It was the Panthers second appearance in the NCAA Tournament and the first since 2004.

Carmel, Ind. – The Panthers men's golf team will play one more day, as they were one of the final 23 teams to play for the NCAA Division III Championship. As a team, the Panthers shot a combined 322 to put them 97-over for the tournament. They are in 22nd place heading into today's final round.

JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. – The LaGrange College golf team had a strong performance at the Jekyll Island Invitational. The Panthers finished fourth in the team standings and had two golfers make the all-tournament team. Methodist, the top-ranked team in NCAA Division III, won the tournament. Tournament host Oglethorpe was second, Huntingdon third, the Panthers and Illinois Wesleyan rounded out the top five.

The LaGrange College golf team did enough from tee to green to walk away with a tournament championship on Monday. It was what the Panthers did on the green, though, that cost them in the Piedmont College Invitational.The Panthers came into Monday's final round with an eight-stroke lead, but they ended up settling for a second-place finish behind Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.
