Panthers finish sixth at Chick-fil-A Invitational

ROME, Ga. – LaGrange College finished sixth at the Chick-fil-A Invitational on Tuesday. The Panthers were just five strokes behind tournament winner Lee University at the par-72 Coosa Country Club.

The Panthers shot a final round three-over par 291. Thomas University, University of the Cumberlands and William Carey all tied for second one shot behind Lee. Reinhardt was fifth, one shot ahead of the Panthers.

The Keener brothers led the Panthers. Hudson Keener shot a final round two-under par 70 for a two-day total of 141. Younger brother Hunter also finished at 141 after a final round of 72. The brothers tied for eighth in the final individual standings.

Bo Tiller shot a 74 to finish at 145. Adam Garrett rebounded from a first round 81 to shoot 75 and finish at 156. John Lee Richter had a final round 80 to finish at 159.

Brian Moore and Shiloh Snow played in the tournament as individuals. Moore slipped to a final round 83 after a first round 70 to finish at 153. Snow shot a 78 to finish the tournament at 157.

The Panthers will play in the Oglethorpe Invitational on Oct. 19-20 at the Royal Lakes golf course in Gainesville, Ga.
