Panthers finish ninth at Oglethorpe tournament

CHESTNUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. – The LaGrange College golf team finished ninth at the Royal Lakes/Oglethorpe Fall In that concluded Tuesday. Tournament host Oglethorpe edged Guilford by one shot to win the two-day tournament.

Bo Tiller led the Panthers with a tie for ninth place in the individual standings. Tiller had rounds of 74 and 71 over the par-71 course. Anthony Yacovazzi had back-to-back rounds of 75 for a 150 total.

Alex Elorriaga and Adam Garrett each had rounds of 78 and 81 for a 159 total. Ryan Willis rounded out the scoring for the Panthers with rounds of 80 and 83 for a 163 total.

The Panthers entered the tournament ranked 16th in the golf coaches poll and 13th by Golfstat. The Panthers finish their fall season at the Guilford Invitational on Oct. 27-28 in Greensboro, N.C.
