Panthers tie for eighth at Oglethorpe tournament

GAINESVILLE, Ga. – The LaGrange College golf team finished tied for eighth at the Oglethorpe Fall-In Invitational played on the Royal Lakes golf course. The tournament featured the top seven teams in NCAA Division III.

The Panthers tied with tournament host and defending Division III national champion Oglethorpe. Methodist won the tournament with Guilford second. The Panthers finish their fall schedule next week at Guilford's tournament.

Hudson Keener led the way for the Panthers. Keener had rounds of 66 and 72 over the par-71 course. He finished in third place in the individual standings, just two shots back of individual champion Josh Schrader of Methodist.

Adam Garrett followed Keener with rounds of 75 and 76 for a total of 151. Bo Tiller had a two-day total of 155, Hunter Keener had a total of 157 and John Lee Richter had a total of 158.
