Head Coach Lee Richter
Richter has been LaGrange College's only golf coach since the program started in 1993. He has led the Panthers to two NCAA National Tournament berths in the past four years. During this time the Panthers have also had two NCAA All-Americans. Under Richter, the Panthers have consistently been ranked nationally in the Golf Coaches Association of America and Golfstat polls.
In 2003, the Panthers completed their finest year by winning the USCAA National Championship Tournament, the school's first national championship in the sport. The Panthers won the tournament by a whopping 63 shots. During the 2002-03 year, the Panthers won two other tournaments and finished in the Top 5 in three others. Richter was named the USCAA National Coach of the Year for 2003.
Richter led the Panthers to runner-up finishes three times in the Georgia-Alabama-Carolina Conference and competed in the NAIA National Championship Tournament twice. He was named Region Coach of the Year for the NAIA Southeast Region in 1999.
Richter played collegiate golf for Alexander City (Ala.) Community College and Troy (Ala.) State University. At Alexander City, he was selected to the All-Conference and All-Region teams. Richter earned All-American honors at Troy State, where he was a member of two national champioship teams. He was twice selected to the All-District golf teams.
