LaGrange College football tickets available

LaGrange, Ga.— Season tickets for the inaugural schedule of LaGrange College football went on sale to the public July 1.  Advance-purchase options for the five home games at Callaway Stadium include season general admission and reserved-section tickets.

"This marks the start of the official countdown to our first LaGrange games—something we've been looking forward to since we announced our decision to launch a football team a year and a half ago," said Linda Buchanan, Vice President and Dean for Student Life and Retention at the college.

The decision to issue tickets has been an evolving one, she explained.

"We initially discussed not charging admission during the first season," she said. "However, several factors compelled us to establish nominal charges. First, many alumni asked for the opportunity to have season tickets—and reserved seating. In fact, the demand surprised us. We've also had interest in commemorative tickets.

"That response encouraged us to move forward with tickets for the initial season."

General admission prices for each of the five home games are $7 for adults and $5 for youth from ages 7 to 12. Children 6 and under can enter free. College students, faculty and staff also can enter free with a College ID.

Beginning on July 1, season general admission and reserved-section seats go on sale.

A season ticket for a non-reserved seat will be available for $30.

For those desiring reserved seats, the centermost portion of the home stands (from one 43 yard line to the other 43 mark) will be designated as reserved. Reserved ticket holders only will have access to that section on a first-come, first-served basis; individual seats within that section will not be assigned.

Reserved tickets will be sold in three different packages: two season tickets in the reserved section and a college T-shirt and cap for $100; four season tickets in the reserved section, one reserved parking space and two college T-shirts and caps for $200; or four season tickets in the reserved section, a reserved parking space, and two college sweatshirts, two T-shirts and two caps for $300.

The first Panther home game is scheduled for September 9 at 1:30 p.m. and features Rhodes College as the opponent.

Subsequent home games and times are Sept 16 vs. Shorter College at 1:30 p.m.; Oct. 7 vs. Washington ( Mo.) University at 1:00 p.m. (homecoming); Oct. 21 vs. Brevard College at 1:30 p.m.; and Nov. 4 vs. Centre College at 1:30 p.m.
