Team player of the week awards for Blackburn game announced

LaGrange College head football coach Todd Mooney announced the team players of the week for the week ending Sept. 28. The players of the week are: Mario Wallace, offense; Tim Hill, defense; Alex Henderson, special teams; Andrew Peters, scout team offense and Wade Oglesby, scout team defense.

Wallace set school records with 149 yards rushing and three touchdowns against Blackburn. He became the first Panther to score three touchdowns in a game. Wallace had touchdown runs of 55, 20 and 2 yards in the game. This is the second time this season he has been named the team's offensive player of the week. Hill led the defense with four tackles, including three for losses. He scored one of the three defensive touchdowns with an 11-yard fumble return.
