Panthers go through first day of practice

LaGrange College opened its third preseason football camp Sunday. The Panthers were in helmets and shorts for the first day of practice. Head coach Todd Mooney and the coaching staff welcomed 105 players to camp, including 57 freshmen and transfers. The Panthers will be members of the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in 2008 after competing as an independent for the past two seasons. The Panthers open the season at Birmingham Southern on Sept. 6. The Panthers host Shorter on Sept. 13 in their home opener.
