Team player of the week awards for Principia

LaGrange College head football coach Todd Mooney announced the team players of the week for the week ending Oct. 26. The players of the week are: Mario Wallace, offense; Richard Okpani, defense; Justin Strickland, special teams; Will Youmans, scout team offense and George Lankford, scout team defense.

Wallace rushed for a game-high 130 yards against Prinicipia on 13 carries, all in the first half. It was his second straight 100-yard rushing game. Wallace ran for three touchdowns for the second time this season. Okpani led the team with four solo tackles. He had two tackles for losses, including a quarterback sack. Strickland was named the special teams player of the week for the second time this season. He finished the game with three total tackles.
