Players of the week announced for Washington game

LaGrange College head football coach Todd Mooney announced the team players of the week for the week ending Oct. 7 for the Washington University game. The players of the week are: Erik Hardison, offense; Jeremy Pickens, defense; Mario Wallace, special teams; Devin Billings, scout team offense and Tyler Mitchell, scout team defense.

Hardison, a wide receiver, had a team-high five receptions for 29 yards. Hardison leads the team this season with 18 receptions for 220 yards. Pickens, a defensive back, had six tackles, including a quarterback sack and a pass breakup. He leads the team with 47 tackles. Wallace had a season-high 281 all-purpose yards. Included in Wallace's total was a season-high 136 yards rushing and a 63-yard touchdown run.
