LaGrange College head coach Chuck Peek has announced the 2009 men's and women's cross country schedule. The Panther teams will compete in eight meets this fall.

Panthers finish season at GSAC Championships

The Panthers finished the 2008 cross country at the GSAC Championships at Maryville College on Saturday.  The race was run on the same course as the Maryville College Invitational in late September.  All of the Great South Athletic Conference schools were present at the meet.  Maryville College won the women's team competition, and Huntingdon College took first place in the men's team standings.

LaGrange runs in Southeast Classic

The Panther cross country team competed in the Southeast Cross Country Classic at Berry College on Saturday morning.  Also present at the meet were several elite cross country schools such as Montreat College, Berry College, Lee University, Union University, and Shorter College.  GSAC rival Maryville College was also present at the meet.

Panthers compete in Oglethorpe Invitational: Driggers finishes 7th

The LaGrange College cross country team competed in the Oglethorpe Invitational on Saturday morning.  Cross country powerhouses Chattahoochee Technical College, Tennessee Wesleyan College, Truett-McConnell College, and Oglethorpe University were all present at the meet, giving the Panthers a tough field of competition.

Panthers run in Southern Challenge

The LaGrange cross country team ran in the Southern Challenge, hosted by Chattahoochee Technical College on Saturday.  The Challenge was one of the larger meets the Panthers have faced this year, with over 20 teams racing in the competition.  GSAC rivals Agnes Scott, Spelman, and Wesleyan also competed in the women's race.

Panthers compete in Pre-Conference Race: Driggers finishes 5th

The Panther cross country team competed in the Pre-Conference meet at Maryville College on Saturday.  Six of seven GSAC schools were present at the meet, giving the Panthers a good look at whom they will compete against in the Conference Championships in November, which will also be held at Maryville.
